Liz Janssen

Liz Janssen is a PhD candidate in the English department at UW, where she studies literary markets for Anglophone texts in global circulation. Her dissertation is focused on how reader-markets in the US consume and value race and ethnicity in contemporary literature. She served for two years as Assistant Director of the UW Educational Opportunity Program, and currently works as a writer and editor on the UW provost’s report series, “Trends and Issues in Higher Education.” She has published her work in the LA Review of Books, and is a contributing author to the composition textbook Writer/Thinker/Maker.
